Is anyone going to vote "We should raise them?" Ummm....
How about we at least get the services we are paying for? We have gone through a 30+% increase in the last two years alone. Have we seen an increase in services or a cut? Easy. A cut. We used to be able to throw 6 bags of trash, now we are at 5. Water quality has gone down, yet that is increase. Crime is up, there is no increase in patrols. But wait! We created a Parking Authority, that will only further the taxation of the young and elderly families trying so hard to make it in this Borough. We pay $111,111.00 to an organization with no accountability to elected officials so that we can have 7 bars in a three block stretch, that all charge $4 -5 per pint for a draft beer. But this is how our elected officials have decided to spend OUR TAXES. There have only been a select few that have gone against the grain and they should be commended, the rest should be booted from office with the first available boot. (I would not even dust my off for the job).

Apparently, "andthetruth" is Mr. Breuer. There's medication for this sort of thing, dear. Get yourself seen by a good physician and you'll feel so much better!
Nope.

As I said, dear, there is medicine for this sort of thing. John has a cousin who is a paranoid schizophrenic. When she's on her medication, you would never know. Please get some help.
Perhaps Mr. Breuer should release his medical records to put these rumors to rest. I hate when posts become argumentative give the woman the medical records or forever be questioned...Please, Please stop the madness
"But I don't like to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."
Hiya kids, Hiya-Hiya
I think medical privacy laws prevent him from releasing his mental health records. besides what difference does it make to any of us.
Although the truth stands against me i stand by his right to object to my existence. if i was him i would not want me here either. i also endorse his effort to provide cheap beers...he objects to concentration of expensive beer joints...all worthy endeavors but the "dust my off for the job" comment disturbs me...unless it is some kind of code i do not think that comment makes sense...
So many characters here...all this madness...hard to know who is who and what is what. Thank you, Jean Farlow, for finally injecting some sense into these posts. And folks, in the future, perhaps we should sympathize instead of criticize because, let's face it, mental illness is no laughing matter.
Mr. Cassidy. Nice to see that you stay informed by reading local blogs. But I must take exception to your most recent post. At no time did I say that I was against you or your right to existence. You are not an elected official, it has been the local officials that have created a situation where the electorate does not have a voice in how THEIR tax dollars are spent ($111,111.00 annually) without any type of over site. The referrence to "booted from office with the first available boot', again makes referrence to those in OFFICE. To my recollection, you have not been elected, by the public, to any office. It is only through the consumption of inexpensive brew that allows people of reasonable intelligence to bear with the lack of leadership in the Democratic Party that has allowed these inexcusable expenditures to take place. I also question the sanity in which takes 47 (as reported) parking spots for three months to hold a concert once a week, why not continue to to create your own parking issue and force the residents to pay for a garage? I have spent several nights downtown and have ALWAYS, yes ALWAYS found a spot, generally within 1/2 a block from my intended destination. I have to park farther from an entrance when I go to the KOP Mall! So my thought is, if you can afford to do away with that many parking spaces to hold a once a week music venue...you don't need them that badly! Have a great weekend.
andthetruth/dick, just show us the medical records. Cassidy may not be an elected official but you once were, so show us the records. Your alter ego is out of control. I mean, do you really believe this blog post is about parking spaces?? Anyone can plainly see it is only about taxes and mental illness. just show us the freakin' records.
i do not read the blogs...with the exception of the phoenix.
111,111 = my existence. get hip.
thank you for wishing me a nice day...you have one too man. and i stand behind you right to withhold your mental health records...an anal/cranial inversion complex is hard to explain away.
If you won't reveal your records, dick (but I think you should...right here, right now,in this crazy blog about parking spaces, salaries, taxes and retardation), then at least have the decency to use your real name! If I and all the others on here can use their real names, why can't you? Afraid?
