PennDOT will hold a meeting on the plans to rehabilitate the Monocacy Creek bridge in Monocacy Station, Amity, in the township building at 7 p.m. Wednesday. PennDOT will present information on the project including addressing traffic issues that might arise while the bridge deck is repaired, according to a public notice in Tuesday's edition of The Mercury.

The former High Street dinner is set to reopen as the VIP dinner. Currently the building owners are displaying signs in their windows advertising open positions on the dinner's staff.

The Fourth of July Celebration committee is still seeking contributions to pay for the event, which is planned to start this Friday in Pottstown. The fund for the celebration is severely low this year.
