Storm clouds brought a white Christmas and New Year's eves to the Pottstown area, but rain washed the snow away.
The cold didn't stop some from jumping into the Schuylkill to celebrate 2010, nor did it hinder local high school teams from heating up the courts.

The Boyertown Ajax soccer club is hoping to expand its offerings for area youths next year, including offering an academy to improve skills. It currently hosts three teams and its under 14 team competed in a game against South Parkland from the Lehigh Valley.

Muddy conditions didn't slow down the Pottsgrove Soccer Club's under-6 teams. The club includes players from Lower, Upper and West Pottsgrove as well as surrounding communities.

The Boyertown Mites White Varsity team recently faced off against the Spring-Ford Rams. Part of the Reading Berks Youth Football League, the Boyertown team plays through the Boyertown Optimist Football Organization built as a feeder team for future levels of area football.
