Inmate Carranza

Hey Ed, I’m calling about Jose Carranza. I see they are going to put him in a special place away from other inmates. I don’t think he should get special protection. What kind of protection did his four victims get?
Gaoler
It would appear the we need to find a way to copy the old Soviet gulags for just these types of people. Could you imagine this punk up in Northern Alaska in the middle of January washing the warden’s car outside just for kicks?

Carranza is just another example of how the criminal justice system continues to disregard the safety of it's citizens. This man had no reason being allowed to walk among decent citizens. There were more than enough opportunities for him to be incarcerated for many, many years. Yet, some loop hole somewhere allowed him to walk. Most of the oversites in cases which involve violent criminals, only lead to more crime, producing more victims. etc., yet who do we blame for this and how. Our local law enforcement officials are playing roulette with our safety by not paying attention to the minute details that allow violent criminals to go attended. Perhaps we should appoint a special committee on police oversite and let the department be supervised by Captain McSleepy. I feel better already.
