Michael Vick

Ed, I think what Michael Vick did was horrible, but I don’t think he ought to be taken off the Falcons. He should pay a couple million dollars to a pit bull society for stray animals. He should not be allowed to have a dog for the rest of his life. He should make a broadcast that he’s openly sorry, not just in court, and put on probation for 10 years. I am a Trentonian reader and 73 years old.
Dog patch
I wish people would get as upset with the gang slugs and other lowlife that go around killing actual people.

Remove dogfighting and football from the equation and think of it this way:

What employer would want to re-employ a worker who spent his entire tenure of employment financing and running a particularly sadistic, clandestine, large-scale, interstate, illegal gambling venture?

What employer would ever again trust a worker who demonstrated that he is an accomplished liar until lying was no longer possible after his low-life cohorts turned on him?

What employer would ever again want a worker whose actions brought unfavorable publicity that damaged the business's good name?

L. A. Parker fits the bill on most of these and the Trentonian still has him on payroll!
