Exxon Excess

Ed, with Exxon Mobil making over $14 billion profit in three months (that’s billion with a “b”) and BP making over $10 billion in three months, why are we still paying over $2 a gallon for gasoline?

So that’s how you spell billion. —Ed. Note

You want the gas companies to make money... they are the ones who are 1)Transporting the crude to the U.S.
2)Refining it into products like gasoline and diesel
and most importantly 3)Researching and developing alternative fuels and finding places to drill for oil here in the U.S. It's just too bad that the liberals in Congress and now the White House won't let them drill where the oil is.
