Save The Dog Man

Hi, animal lovers. A terrible thing is happening at the Trenton shelter. We are going to lose a great animal advocate, John Micklewright, because they are cutting the budget. Is there anyone out there who can help us keep him? He has helped so many animals. As a rescue person I have had much success in dealing with him, getting animals and saving animals. Please help. Mayor Palmer, don’t cut John Micklewright out of the budget.
Have a Heart
Time for all the stray dogs in the city to stage a bow-wow-pow-wow protest in front of the mayor’s house. Leave him little lawn presents until he agrees to save John’s job.—Ed. Note

Not true, I called Micklewright all summer and only got an answering machine. There are just about a million cats in my neighborhood. I have contacted Animal Control and asked if they could be picked up. Animal Control will inform you that you must come to the shelter, pay $90 to get a cage take it home and set the trap yourself. When you bring the cage back with the cat inside you get your money back. I also called about a woman who come to the neighborhood every day to feed the cats. She leaves wet food and water for the cats in abandoned buildings and lots. She has even gone as far as leaving food in peoples yards. This presented a hugh problem. Not only did the cats eat the food, so did rats, possums, squirrels, birds and other stray animals. This presented nothing but a health hazzard in the area as well as the worst smell you can imagine. I called Micklewright to complain, and have something done, again never spoke to the man. Perhaps Palmer should get rid of him and hire me. I'm the one who was expected to trap the cats, clean up after the oher animals and deal with the smell. I guess my very high tax dollars, don't really pay for anything.

Mickelwright, who exactly is he.
For exactly one year I attempted to contact this man. Never got anything but an answering machine.
My neighborhood had about a million cats. I contacted Animal Control to complain and have them removed. I was told, I would have to come in pay $90 to rent a cat trap, take it home and trap the cats. When I returned to the shelter with the cat in the cage, I would get my money back. For years there has been a woman that comes to the neighborhood to feed the cats. She places wet food in abandon houses, lots, even peoples yards. The food not only feeds the cats, it also feeds, rats, possums,
groundhogs, birds and stray dogs. I attempted to contact Mr. Micklewright, to complain and ask for help, again, no go.
I think Palmer should get rid of him and hire me. I'm the one who had to trap the cats, deal with the smell, and avoid the stay animals. I guess my high tax dollars don't pay for anything.
