Furloughs

The state is going to get all this money from the federal stimulus package. The state and Mercer County wants all these workers to go on furloughs. That’s fine for those who make $75K and above. But those of us who make under $50K and have families to support, bills to pay, etc., it’s just not fair.
Lough and Behold
It’s not “fair,” of course. But it is what it is. Times are tight, and everyone is going to pay.— Ed. Note

I have been employeed with the State for 24 years now, I was bumped in 1992 and lost $10,000.00 I don't understand all those State workers that are furious over the prospect of unpaid furloughs. Hey wake up people, the entire country is having to tighten up their belts and spend less. In the State of Kentucky there was not enough money to make payroll. Calf. & Arizona have given up 12 days of furlough to help their state balance the budget. Why can't we? Stop whining and face reality, I don't want to be faced with another layoff again.

What an absolutely stupid thing to complain about. What would be so hard about taking off a few days a month. You'll still have a job. If you don't you won't. Then you can stay home allmonth long and complain. Wake up people. Any kind of money is good. A fee days a month isn't enough to pay all the bills, but it' enough to pay some of the bills and feed your kids.
What excuse will you give them when their hungry? You wouldn't let Corzine take a few days, now he'staken everything. Wake Up.
