Ryan Thompson is this week's MAAC Player of the Week, while Derek Needham is yet again the Rookie of the Week, the league office announced.

Thomspon, the preseason MAAC Player of the Year, won POW honors for the first time after averaging 28 points and 10 rebounds in wins over Manhattan and Fairfield.

Needham, a shoo-in for Rookie of the Year honors, averaged 15.5 points and 8 assists in a 1-1 week during which the Stags beat Loyola but lost to Rider. Needham played 79 of a possible 80 minutes in the two games.
