See you at the Oley Fair

I’ll be manning the newspaper’s booth at this historic event in the Oley Valley today and tomorrow from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

For those who would like a bit more historical info on the six decade tradition, check this link.

Stop by the booth and say hello. Maybe we can take some photos to include in an upcoming edition of The Boyertown Area Times, The Oley Valley Sentinel or this blog.

If you’ve got some Oley Fair photos you would like to share with the community send them to us here. Info. on the fair and related events can be placed in the comment section of this blog and will be posted once approved.

See you there.

Hi Mr. Hessinger!
I met you at OLey and wanted to thank you for taking the time to speak to me. You are very sexy. I didn't want to say there because I was shy. Hope to see you at the fair next year.

I've been going to the Oley Fair for years and I have to say the prices this year were simply outrageous! I remember the good old days when my father would give me and my sisters twenty-five cents and we could spend hours at the fair and still have change left!
I'm glad the paper was there, but someone should write an editorial to make these horrible companies mind their prices. Everything is so dear today. It really hurts those of us on fixed incomes.

I couldn't agree more Penny. I remember when they used to do donkey rides at the fair. My dad would buy us all a can of Moxie and we would stand in line waiting to ride it. The sights and sounds were magnificant (The allentown fair nowadays is nothing but a bunch of hooligangs with their rap music and baggy pants... how can a lady see who won in the vegatable growing contest with all that going on?
