Sports update

Here is the weekend sports update

Boys' Basketball
Columbia clinched a spot in the L-L League playoffs with an 83-60 win over Pequea Valley.
Mike Seibert and Adam Pittman combined for 57 points in the win.
This one had danger written all over it. The PV Gym is even smaller than the gym on the hill and at times hasn't been too kind to visitors.
The Tide has two games this week -- at Lebanon Catholic on Tuesday and home with Lancaster Mennonite on Friday, before the big one on Monday.
By the way, was told that entire Lancaster Catholic team attended mass Saturday night at St. Peter's.
Columbia continues to lead the Class AA power ratings, but Delone Catholic has closed the gap a little.
L-L Playoffs start Tuesday, Feb. 4.
Girls' Basketball
The Tide had an easy win on Friday, beating Pequea Valley 71-25. A rare mercy rule win for the Tide.
On the playoff front, the Tide girls are now 8th in the latest District Three power ratings, meaning they would draw a ninth-seed in the first round.
Out of their four remaining games, Columbia has two they need to win -- Lebanon Catholic on Tuesday and at Annville-Cleona next week.
Wrestling
Columbia competed in the annual Lancaster-Lebanon League Tournament over the weekend at Manheim Township.
As a team, the Tide was 20th.
Joey Ronca placed sixth at 119, while Garrett Mowrer was seventh at 140.
