Change You Can Believe In
If the NYT is right, Jamie Gorelick is being considered by President Elect Obama to be his Attorney General.
That would be the same Jamie Gorelick who while working for Bill Clinton's Justice Department under wrote the famous memo that set up the wall between the FBI and the DoJ leading to 9/11.
That would be the same Jamie Gorelick who made $28 million being on the board of a corrupt Fannie Mae while it played a significant part contributing to the meltdown of the lending industry and financial markets.
What do you have to do in Washington to be considered a failure? Oh yeah, have an R next to your name.

That "famous memo" was not only reaffirmed by Ashcroft, but misinterpreted as well to be more restrictive than it actually was.
The 9/11 Commission asserted that the 'wall' limiting the ability of federal agencies to cooperate had existed since the 80's and is in fact not one singular wall but a series of restrictions passed over the course of over twenty years. All members of the 9/11 Commission agreed that Gorelick played no significant role in damaging information sharing on terrorist activities.
Keep it up with the boogymen (and women) and fighting battles of the past. That's how you lost in 2008 and will continue to lose in 2012.

Well, the "R" certainly played a role for McCain. (that and embracing Bush)
New Yorker article about behind the scenes Obama strategy pointed out that 2000 McCain would have been a problem. But they realized that to get GOP nomination, McCain would have to make Faustian bargains that would remove his key political strength.
So far Obama’s fisrt acts as president-elect have been to appoint vicious partisans and Clinton throwbacks. And Vicious Lib Harry Reid admitted to only liking Gates because he's not a Repub.
So much for all that hollow talk of “change” and “unity” that the sheeple gobbled up.
see? Anonymous-ano is a sharp D cheerleader! Why did he have to delete his post claiming his independent naure? It was the most humorous thing I've seen on SpencerBlog!!!
Anon:
Care to comment on Gorelick's connection to all that money she got while at Fannie Mae? Will Franklin Raines get a position, because he also did well at Fannie Mae?
What about Rahm Emanuel and his recent statement that all republicans can go "f" themselves (he used the whole word)?
Is this the change we can all believe in?
C. Scott Shields, Esquire
ok, almost as funny as the "gives me pause" post, that was the gift that kept on giving!
I hardily agree with Rahm's statement FROM 2006 (not a recent statement, you liar), and it goes double for a few of the lying neocons here.
Clearly, NOTHING you say can be believed in.
"The night the Democrats retook the House of Representatives in 2006, according to Salon.com writer Edward McClelland, Emanuel stood on a table and addressed the exhausted staff with a message for the Republicans: "They can go f%$# themselves!""
