A Lump of Coal for Fitzmas

Victoria Toensing takes U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald to the woodshed for conduct unethical and unbecoming a prosecutor.

It ain't the first time.

Since Victoria also thinks there was "no crime" in the Valerie Plame leak, her whole "I am first an officer of the court" shows she is first a liar and political shill.
Libby covered up for what everyone realizes was an intentional leak orchestrated by Cheney. The pardon bought Libby's silence. She and her ilk will continue to vilify Fitzpatrick for the "audacity" of challenging the Bush administration.

The crime in the Plame case was committed by the NYT.

Libby wasn't pardoned.

Libby's commutation of sentence is part of the President's pardoning powers. The full pardon is on its way. Bush was too busy inserting language into the bailout to help executive bonuses.

Anonymous-iano - please don't change the subject. At the heart of the case here is a governor tryign to sell a senate seat. What do we do about this? I recommend castration for starters...

Steve-
Victoria's the one trying to "change the subject" by using this to go after Fitzpatrick on Libby.
I've got no problem with the Gov going to prison for trying to sell the seat, though I don't think castration fits the crime. Shaving his head and tattooing "Criminal" would be better.

Fitzpatrick is the one that went after Libby, and the neocons didn't like it.

And the neo-LibDems loved him then because that offered them a little salve for their hurt feelings about mean old Bushie.
