Doug's security record

Boy, the state’s in trouble now with the appointment of Doug Palmer to the state and local senior advisory committee to the Homeland Security Council. You’re talking about a mayor that closed fire houses, has run a police department into the ground, has a city ridden with crime, and violates city ordinances. That’s really the kind of person we “need” at this time for homeland security advisors. What a phony and a fake! New Jersey’s in for a world of trouble. I can see it coming!

Ahh, but think how great it is for Trenton to have our mayor in yet another high-profile role at the national level! What’s good for Doug is good for Trenton, right? You can just feel the city’s self-esteem boosted with every photo-op. —Ed. Note

Appointed? By who? Who or what would do a think like this? Can't they see Palmer's history by just taking a single glance into the problems that Palmer either caused or overlooked. Why is this man receiving such autonomy? What are the qualifications for this position? Surely Palmer doesn't posess one of them. He's done nothing and knows it. He's violated city ordinances. Ruined the educational system. Allowed a union breaking school superintendent to walk free of complaint and responsibility. Covered for his council cohorts, while allowing them to get "PAID" from his unscrupulous friends. Accepted money from an obvious unethical political friend. Appointed an unworthy Police Director. Allowed the citizens of Trenton to live in fear and filth and yet, he's appointed to a position that would give him the power and responsibility to oversee the health and safety of the citizens of Trenton in a desperate time of need. What a joke. Has Palmer ever cared or expressed any concern about the health and safety of the citizens. Is there no shame or decency in politics in the state of New Jersey.

This capital city is spilling over with criminals and criminal activity from the top to the bottom in administration, and I'm sure Mr. Christie is very much aware of it.
