Save the school

Ed, I’m calling about the renovation or destruction of Trenton Central High School. I look at that building and I see beautiful red bricks that are timeless and really don’t have to be destroyed. Why can’t they just gut the whole building, start all over from the inside? The outside restoration should not be much of a problem. It’s insane to consider knocking down that historic building. I hope some better heads prevail.
School Saver
Have you been to a recent school board meeting? They don’t even know what they’re voting on, let alone how to vote.—Ed. Note

Of all the stupid, useless decisions the board of idiots have come up with, this is by far the worst. Is any of this necessary, I doubt it. Nonetheless, the facade should remain the same. I just don't see the necessity to destroy every semblence of the original building. The school means so much to the city and its students, both past and present.

If this should happen, nothing is going to change. Not the curriculum, grades, student interest, attendance, parent participation or administration accountability. The only thing that may change is where they divert the money to this time. I'm sure everyone has their driveway completed by now. Everyone's traveled enough, and administrative salaries can't be increased anymore, unless they want a visit from the U.S. Attorney.
