Tracking Siena's AP votes

A breakdown of the 19 points Siena got in this week's AP poll, courtesty of pollspeak.com:

The Saints got seven points from Sports Illustrated's Seth Davis, who ranked them 17th.

They also got five points couresty of a 21st-place vote from the Cleveland Plain-Dealer's Elton Alexander; a total of six points from the 23rd-place votes of the LA Daily News' Scott Wolf and the Idaho Statesman's Nick Jezierny; and one point from Vahe Gregorian of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, who ranked them 25th.

Siena also got eight points in the coaches' poll. The 27 combined posts are the most the Saints have received since the poll released prior to their loss to Temple Nov. 21.

They have ZERO good wins this year. They have not won a true road game against an "up" team in 2 years.
They lost to St John's. That means that there are 13 teams better than them in the big east.
Somebody needs to explain to me how they get votes in the top 25.

If Siena is a top 25 team, than the MAAC should be a multiple bid conference, since Siena has beat no one outside of the MAAC.

There best win is to a 14-8 Northeastern team...And they had opportunities.

If you can't be Ga Tech, Temple, St. Johns, or Northern Iowa, really have trouble believing you belong in the top 25.

Siena's being noticed, even here in the Valley (Daily News).

They're not worthy of it, but if you're a fan of a MAAC team, you can't really complain too much, right? Attention is good, no?
