Welcome to my world
Welcome to my blog. This is a first for me. Even though blogs have been flourishing for several years, it usually takes me at least a decade to catch up with technology. Just this last Christmas I received my first walkman CD player. I have yet to own a DVD player (although I do have a DVR) and didn't even get my first home computer until a couple of years ago. What I know about computers is limited to the work-related things I do at work.
So I'm coming into this blog without really knowing where it will go. I'm going to attempt to be informative about area sports, while tossing in my little spin on things. I'm hoping this will be as fun as it is informative. In fact, probably more fun than information.
The big question on everybody's mind is who is going to be the new BASH football coach. What I'm hearing is that it's down to three candidates, with last year's linebacker coach Van Horn as the leader. I'm hearing final interviews are being conducted this week and an announcement should be made soon.
On a sad note, long time Boyertown Bear-Cub assistant coach Barry Trate died this morning. Barry coached on the Bear-Cubs staff for 20 years and was a positive influence on every kids who went through the program. He will be missed very much by the community.
