After attending last night's meeting, I have finally discovered the root of all evil in Coatesville. The Daily Local News!! I was appalled listening to Mr. Schenk tell a homeowner, who wanted to know what happened to the "vision" that this City once had, that the editor of the Daily local was to blame. Mr. Schenk was more concerned with being compared to the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz, then facing the fact that the "vision" has been clouded over by incompetence. More like the cowardly lion I believe!

Yeah it was great to see Matthews stand up and talk about the new hires for the police department, even though some of his words weren't in the dicttionary. To bad he did talk more about the three exprienced officers that just left. Two of them were held rank in the department. All these new hires will have alot of fun dealing with the street thugs when they will have no exprienced officers to tell them who they are dealing with.
Just think in year 2028 10 officers will be able to retire, if they make it that long, and there worst enemies are not even born yet !
A man addressed the Coatesville City Council last night. He and his wife were attracted three years ago by the plans for a vision of Coatesville that was exciting. They now think that they made a terrible and very costly mistake in buying a home here. He said that there is trash everywhere and drug dealers on every corner.
I listened him choke back tears and ask the city council members to give him some hope to hold onto. He said “Help me rejuvenate my faith and my trust in the investments that I made for my self my wife and my three week old daughter. I put us in a very big hole that we will never dig out of.”
Schenk’s answer to him was to blame the Daily Local News. It was as if Mr. Schenk was not listening when the man was speaking.
How dare a person so unfeeling as Mr. Schenk call himself a minister of God!

Can someone tell me why Coatesville has an official spokesperson? What keeps Mr. Walker so busy that he can't address citizens or press personally? My grandmother was the last mayor of Coatesville and never had a spokesperson. She was never too busy to personally speak to anyone. She also ran the town for a fraction of the salary that Mr. Walker gets. Coatesville also had some good police chiefs and cops back then. It wasn't just a job. They had a vested interest in cleaning Coatesville up because their families lived in town. Maybe it's time to rewrite the city charter and go back to a mayor and eliminate the power that city council/manager has over the city. This city is not being run as a democracy but more like a junta with the council ruling and the manager obeying orders. There are no checks and balances within the system.
Residents of Coatesville are pigs and will remain pigs because not many of them have a vested interest in Coatesville. And why not through everything in the street when a sweeper runs 24/7 cleaning it all up?

But it doesn't matter just do all a favor and crawl back under that rock you came out from because obviously you have no idea what you are talking about.
I agree with 3:34am, After the last mayor term ended the town started it's downward spiral, it was very very gradual at first and them startd to speed up with time.
Schenk is a real jerk, I bet he got his a** kicked a lot when he was in school with his wise mouth.

Don't say ALL Coatesville residents are pigs, maybe a lot of them are but I am one of the people that keeps my property and my whole block clean at my own expense. and there are some others that do also.
Sorry that I didn't make the last council meeting, sounds like it was interesting.
If you are going to call us pigs at least have the b's to leave your name. Maybe you would like to say it to some of our faces. Go back to the hole you crawled out of and rot you fat coward.
