SBA in town

COATESVILLE – The U.S. Small Business Administration has set up an office here for arson fire victims.

The SBA is providing low-interest, long-term loans available to qualifying individuals, homeowners, renters, businesses and nonprofit organizations that have been affected by the area’s arson crisis.

The Coatesville area has experienced 27 arson fires this year and over 70 since February 2008.

The SBA can provide up to $200,000 to homeowners and up to $40,000 for renters to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate.

SBA’s customer service representatives are in the city to provide loan applications, answer questions about the loan program and help residents complete their applications.

The SBA center is located at 209 E. Lincoln Highway. It will be open today through Friday 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
