Authorities conduct forensic audit of city finances, real estate

City Council unanimously approved a resolution Monday night that authorizes the FBI and Chester County Detectives to conduct a forensic audit of the city’s finances and realty transactions.

The purpose of the audit is to determine whether there is any evidence of obstruction of justice, misdirection of funds, willful negligence and actions of criminal intent by the city’s administration and/or council.

In the meantime, city officials said Harry Walker is still on administrative leave.

Do you think the results of this audit will be beneficial to the new City Council?

It should be very interesting indeed to see what this uncovers.
I hope Harry and the others are shaking in their boots. Get ready for 3 hots and a cot.

Yes I definitely think the audit will be beneficial to the City Council but also its residents. For years people has made accusations about people on the take, bribes, embezzlement, back office deals etc. Now with a forensic audit it will give the city a clear idea of where we are. No more guessing if money is missing no more wondering if deals were illegal. The audit will find it. Oh to the guys at City Hall who thought that deleting records on your computer would delete a paper trail, think again. The FBI has teams of experts that can pull everything back. So it you put it on an email or document they'll find it.
The one thing I hope this audit does it calm down the anxiety of the town. Are we going to find things we didn't know? Yes. Are people going to be caught. Highly Likely. But all in all the audit is here to put everything on the table in the open for all to see.

Maybe this is why Harry stood on the balcony of his Chetty condo overlooking Coatesville and watched the city burn during the arson crisis. He didn't bother to request the services of the FBI, ATF or any other experts. Was he afraid of what they might find out about HIM?
