Police Survivors Benefit

The first Chester County fundraiser benefiting the Philadelphia Police Survivor fund will be held Saturday, June 20 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Blarney Stone, 1227 West Chester Pk, West Chester PA (610-436-5222).

You must purchase a Beef & Beer ticket for this private event. Due to limited space, you must call to have a ticket held for you at the door. Tickets cost $30.00 and can be purchased immediately at the Blarney Stone, or thru the Beef & Beer organizer, Stacey Charter -- 484-678-9983 or e-mail staceycharter@yahoo.com.

The $30.00 ticket price includes all you can eat and drink. As well as a 50/50 raffle, DJ Johnny Famous, raffle prizes and give-aways.

The Fraternal Order of Police Survivor’s Fund pays for funeral expenses and it helps fund families of fallen officers throughout the entire year. With the deaths of 8 officers in the last 3 years, the fund has paid for more expenses than expected. It was set up to pay for a funeral every few years. With each officer’s death, the fund covers about $40,000 worth of funeral costs. The proceeds from this beef & beer will go directly to this fund.

New Police Patrol Vehicle for Sadsbury Township

Sadsbury Township Police Department has taken delivery of a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria patrol vehicle. This vehicle replaces the 2000 Ford patrol vehicle which logged 154,000 miles during its career. The new vehicle is equipped with radio, mobile data computer, in-car video camera, emergency lights and siren. The purchase of the vehicle was made possible through a Community and Economic Development grant for $25,000 through the support of 9th District State Senator Dominic F. Pileggi’s office.

Police still seeking burglary suspect


UWCHLAN – Police are still seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the man who broke into a woman’s home and assaulted her before fleeing.

Authorities released a composite sketch of the suspect and ask anyone who can identify the suspect the contact Uwchlan police at 610-363-6947 or 610-692-5100.

The incident occurred about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of Country Road in the Whitebriar development.

Police to raise money for American Cancer Society

The Tri-County Police Hockey Club, also known as "The Slugs," will be challenging the Berks County Enforcers and Chester County Sheriffs in hockey matches Saturday at Ice Line in West Chester. Proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Here's more info: COP_HOCKEY.pdf

City Curfew Effective Immediately, Debris Violators to Face Fines

CITY OF COATESVILLE STATE OF EMERGENCY UPDATE


Juvenile Curfew Revised:
Consistent with the State of emergency and the ongoing arson investigation the Chief of Police has revised the curfew for all persons under the age of 18. Effective Immediately: All persons under the age of 18 must be off the streets by 8 PM. This curfew will be in effect during the entire state of emergency. For this Friday and Saturday night only, citations will not be issued to juveniles between the hours of 8 PM and 10 PM who comply with police orders or have an excused reason to be on public streets.

Instant Citations for Failure to Remove Debris From Porches:
The Coatesville Police Department will soon begin issuing Citations for resident/occupants who have not complied with the emergency order to remove flammable/combustible objects/items from their front/rear porches. Residents may face fines up to $600. Additionally rental property owners may be cited by the City of Coatesville Codes Department for failure to comply with the City of Coatesville Code.
