Taking attendance

Hello, Ed, why are they so worried about Police Director Santiago living in Trenton? Maybe they need to make Mayor Doug Palmer move into Trenton with his wife and kid because he does not want to send his kid to Trenton Public Schools.
Mover and Shaker
Not sending his kid to Trenton schools is one of the mayor’s better decisions. The problem is that he and Mr. Lofton can’t bring the schools up to Palmer’s standards for his own child. (This BackTalker asked to be signed “Palmer Hater.” I think we’ve used that one already.)—Ed. Note

Regarding the standards set by city officials or at least what we've been told the standards are.
Nothing makes sense. If the schools were doing such a great job, Palmer and Santiago's children would be going to them. And, if the police were doing such a great job (as reported in the crime statistics) Palmer and Santiago would be living here.

Lofton, what about Lytle, he was masterful in ruining the school district, unions and all. He abused state funds, allowed administrative travel, ignored warnings of corrupt educators as Palmer protected his every move. What exactly is Lofton supposed to do? He has twenty years of Palmer's bad choices to pick up the pieces after. Why all the complaining now that things have reached disproportionate levels? You voted Palmer, over and again to be your Mayor, regardless of his historical reference toward education. So you see,the school district didn't just become horrible. It's been horrible for twenty years, under Douglas H. Palmer, the education Mayor.

Damn truthfully, you put that right where it should have been.
The school district has been a joke for many years, the Palmer years. They have the lowest score levels in the state. All of the money is gone. The kids live in fear of losing their lives each day, and least we forget a board member once said "The kids don't need books" I guess not, he needed the moeny to travel.
