In the dark

Ed, would you kindly ask the mayor (Palmer) who is involved in homeland security to do a little city security and have the four street lights on East State Street, on the Route 1 overpass, fixed. I’ve called the mayor’s office at least a dozen times over the last six months and the lights are still out. Maybe if he sees it in print, he’ll take action. Thanks.
Good Manners
OK, here goes ... Mr. Mayor, would you please consider this polite request from this civilized BackTalker? Thanks.—Ed. Note

And while your asking, see if you can get a response to why all of the city services are so messed up.
No one cleans the streets, demolishes the abandoned houses or clears empty cluttered lots. Also, when is something going to be done with the filthy absentee landlords. The properties they rent for astronomical rents are pig stye shacks and yet the city allows them to rent them without inspections being done before hand. Don't we have any city ordinances to see to this problem? If so, why aren't they being enforced. The major has an office of citizen complaints, yet, even the nice lady that answers the phone and makes futile promises can't seem to get anything done.
Let me know what's wrong with the housing inspectors, street cleaners and demolition companies.
Isn't Vice Puchiatti supposed to be involved in this?

The next time anyone sees Vince he will be in front of the council, stuttering about how much his department is going to take care of. Then, he'll go back to his office, take the phone off the hook and sleep. One thing for sure the administration in the city of Trenton, gets plenty of rest.
