Electoral huh?

Ed, I’m calling after the Super Tuesday primary election with a question. Please explain why the Electoral College, and not the popular vote, elects a U.S. president? For the life of me, I don’t understand this. Bush would not be president if it were the popular vote. I’m confused.

Take it up with the founding fathers of our fine republic. You could also object to each state having two senators, but states matter. Or at least they used to. —Ed. Note

Curious, your so right. If the people's votes matter, why doesn't the power stand in their hands. Notice none of the long winded speakers ever bring up this issue. Guestions, why won't the Clinton's every reveal where their campaign funds come from. When Obama received large contributions, they wanted to know where every penny came from. Yet, we'ver never heard about their contributors. Let's not forget about Whitewater>
Several of Bill's administrative staff took the hit for him and did time. Only to be pardoned before he left the White House. Talk about coincidence. Yeah Right.
About time the people had their say. Obama and Gore

I feel this entire electorial process is designed to confuse the voters, allowing each opponent to utilize votes in their favor. The people should pick the president by their votes alone. Delegates, super delegates have nothing to do with what the people want. This process is wrong and has caused many voters concern over the years. This process can and will be challenged and changed. Americans should pick who they want to run their country.
