"Holiday' Party

Hey, Ed, I want to see what your readers think about this. I got an e-mail from my kid’s school. They wanted money for a holiday party. I wrote back and said the money is not coming, My kid does not attend holiday parties, but there will be money available for a Christmas party. My kid doesn’t want to go to a holiday party because she is Christian and doesn’t want to deny the faith. Do other parents feel the same way?
Christian Mother
Is it necessarily “denying the faith” to attend a party not specifically devoted to Christmas? Perhaps your child can remain rooted in her beliefs and still hang out at a silly gathering with cupcakes and music. — Ed. Note

I agree this is the Christmas Season and we just keep letting people take things away. That is one of the reasons this country is the way it is. While we are on the subject we speak english not spanish. My 9 year old should not have to learn spanish, it should be an option when he gets older. It's time we take our country back and make people le4arn our language and pay their own way to come here. Merry Christmas!!!!
