Senior Week Turns Deadly

Xavier Gregory, 18, was killed in a car accident while driving through Maryland. Gregory is a CASH 2007 graduate, who was on his way to Senior Week in Ocean City, Md. And it is believed that Halston Jennings, also a 2007 graduate, is still hospitalized after the accident.

This story completely breaks my heart, as I know the families personally of both of these young men. My son graduated on friday with them and was among the contingent of friends who made the trip. Thankfully he was in another vehicle. I saw these boys on friday in their caps and gowns looking proud and as I sit here, I can remember the commencement speaker talking about each student looking toward the future. As a parent, I offer my deepest condolences to Gail and her family, and my prayers for a speedy recovery for Halston.

What a terrible tragedy. I am so sorry for this loss. I pray that the family will find comfort in the memories of this beloved son. My prayers go out to you all and especially your dear cousin, Tamara, who I work closely with.
Dear Tamara...you and your family have had such a difficult journey recently please know we care and love you!
Blessings from the office down the hall.

Graduation week in Chester County must be jinxed because every year right before or right after graduation a young graduate gets killed from one of the local high schools. What a tragedy.

I don't have a personal connection with these young men, but i am coming by just to let the family know that i will keep you in my prayers. I know that this is a trying time for the family.. but just remember to "look toward the hill from which cometh your help, your help cometh from the Lord.." With God you will make it through this trying time. Trust God! To the classmates of these young men i know it is hard to belive that such a tragedy has hit so close to home. Just last year my graduating class experinced this same tragedy, a classmate of ours was killed in a car crash 3 months after graduation night. It's hard but With God's help you can make it, it is ok to cry, but just remember that God will never put more on you than you can bare. We may not understand why these kinds of tragedys happen, but sometimes things happen and it's not for us to understand. Just understand that God will be there when you need to talk to someone in the midnight hour, remember all the Good times you and your classmate/family member/son .. shared. I know that nothing i can say will take away the pain you are feeling right now, but i hope it helps to know that people are praying for you. Be Blessed..
