Another Home Invasion

See the DLN for details on Monday's home invasion in Caln. Below are the other home invasions the Coatesville area has experienced this year.

April 9 – Steven Pittman, 33, of Coatesville, was abducted from his Fleetwood Street home, taken in a car, shot several times then left in the road on Eighth Avenue in Coatesville.

June 19 – Charles Buchanan, 54, was shot inside his home in the 700 block of Coates Street in Coatesville in what appeared to be a home invasion. A bullet grazed Buchanan’s head after several people entered his home.

July 6 – Carnell Parker, 24, and his girlfriend Shontae Peterson, 21, were shot and killed in Parker’s Coatesville home in the 200 block of Charles Street.

July 24 – A woman was shot multiple times about 1:20 a.m. during what police described as a home invasion. The 35-year-old woman, whom authorities have not identified, was shot several times at her home in the 100 block of Ash Street in South Coatesville.

July 25 – Kaijo Waan Hughes, 23, of Valley was shot in his home in the 100 block of Irish Lane about 1:45 a.m. during a home invasion and robbery.

July 28 – Jason Lyons, 31, of Coatesville, was shot inside his home in the 500 block of Coates Street about 12:15 a.m., police said. Robert Edwards Byrd, 20, of Coatesville, was charged Aug. 20 with the shooting.

Aug. 31 – Roughly five minutes after officers responded to a home invasion on Valley Road, police received a report of shooting in the area of Chestnut Street and North 6th Avenue. Angelino Rivera, 29, of Coatesville, suffered a single gunshot wound to his upper back, police said.

Sept. 22 - About 1:45 a.m. two men wearing masks – and one armed with a long gun – entered a home in the 100 block of Ascot Court in the Wedgewood development and attempted to rob the place. No one was injured, police said.
