I wish you would give some background info when making these posts. Why was it postponed? I am sure there was a reason. Please spend more time on these so we have a better idea of what and why things are going on.

No explanation provided for the new court date. Here is the info I included in a previous post about the case:

"Federal sentencing for Richard Legree Jr., 29, of Coatesville, was slated for today but was postponed until Dec. 9.

Legree was one of 22 people arrested as part of a two-year investigation into cocaine trafficking between Philadelphia and Coatesville conducted by federal and local law enforcement, including the Coatesville police.

The charges follow a grand jury indictment from September 2006 accusing the defendant of participating in two drug deals, one on July 19, 2005, and a second on July 6, 2006.
He has agreed to plead guilty to three of the charges filed against him. Each is related to distribution and possession of crack cocaine.

The offenses carry a five-year minimum prison sentence.

In the 2005 incident, Legree sold drugs to an undercover officer. The second offense, a year later, took place within the 1,000-foot drug-free school zone surrounding St. Cecilia Catholic School at 605 E. Lincoln Highway in Coatesville, and was observed by police.

In May, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration reportedly recorded a phone call between Legree and an informant allegedly discussing the sale of crack."

An explanation about why Legree Jr's. sentencing is postponed is that he took a "cooperation guilty plea". He may be testifying at several trials and delays in trials are standard procedure.

I watched Legree Jr. standing the middle of the cross walk on Sixth Avenue and Lincoln Highway talking on phone. Sometimes on the North side sometimes the South side. He did this almost all day long. For those of you that don't know the area, sixth and Lincoln Highway is the location of St. Cecilia Elementary School.

If you see "Fat Boy" Legree in person you might be thinking "the lights are on but nobody's home". But nobody that can make money in as risky a business as selling drugs can be stupid enough to openly arrange drug deals in front of a school. The actual physical transaction went down across the street from the school. I believe that for years his alleged political connections managed to get him out of trouble (ditto for Clayton Ayers Jr.). I think that he thought he could sell in front of a school and get away with it. That did not work with the Feds.

I'm not saying that there was any connection but there was a shootout in the school playground while school was in session. Thankfully the shootout was not during recess.

So Jenn
When will you update us on the Nottingham woman who stole from little league's case?

Members of the little league and local community are wondering why we're not hearing anything.

The Little League case is in the court system now. I only cover arrests and preliminary hearings. After that it's the hands of the courthouse reporter, who is currently Anne Pickering.

Perhaps Anne can do an update. I heard she was due in court last week but that was the end of what I heard. The husband (a cop) has told people it was thrown out of district court due to lack of evidence, and no one in town knows what the true story is.

I think it was postponed due to the lost of his father "richie sr" also due to the fact he is now working with the feds to reduce his sentence
