The Delaware County Library System (DCLS) presented 2009 Library Awards to the following individuals who demonstrated outstanding support for the county’s network of 26 public libraries: (from left) County Council Vice-Chairman Jack Whelan, Outstanding Public Official award; Ginny Wakefield, board member at Aston Library, named Outstanding Citizen for Libraries; James Harper, of Local 413, Laborers’ International Union, Outstanding Citizen for Libraries; and Shirley Warren, a 50-year volunteer for the Media-Upper Providence Library, Outstanding Library Employee award.
