Congressional Art Winners

Monday evening, students, parents, teachers and friendsgathered at the Wayne Art Center to enjoy artwork produced by theregion's high-school students.

Some 100 pieces of art from high schoolsthroughout the district were entered in the annual 7th CongressionalDistrict Art Competition-titled "An Artistic Discovery"-hosted by Congressman Joe Sestak (D-7 of Edgmont). This year's grand prize winner was Springfield High School's Hayden Dahmm, a 9th grader who submitted hispastel work "Plate of Mangoes." His work will be hung in the tunnel that leads to the United States Capitol.
