LOL!! I've been waiting for this, Dennis!

I thought that maybe it was decided to have an Easter tree.

BTW, you're looking pretty good, Dennis!

Keep up the good work.

It would appear that the CDC raised enough money to put up the tree, but not enough to take it down.

I say if it's still up by Feburary First Friday, we help out by taking each taking a decoration off the tree and into our homes as a souviner of Christmas 2007!

Perhaps we could have the Christmas Tree Fire Festival, and burn it down on First Friday. If people can build a big wooden bird to set fire to, then why not a dried out, garbage-strewn, tree?

Dennis tell it like it is..... They could sell chances for the opportunity to light the first match. Then the CDC could fight with the borough over who will get the funds.

Dennis,
Did you pick up any of the trash whie you were there or did you just do you part and complain about it? The community is more than the CDC, Council, one or two stores. We are all in this 'revitilazation' TOGETHER. Do we have to depend on VFCC to do this too?

None of the trash in town gets picked up anymore now that the late George Hinkle isn't around to get the community service people doing it.

It's obvious why the tree was left up for so long...in hopes that it would confuse the visitors to our fair trashy town that it was still the Christmas season, and they would drop some $$$ on Bridge Street!! (We all know that Bridge street merchants are the MOST IMPORTANT part of all of Phoenixville...)!!
Thanks for a fun report!
