Upcoming News Coverage
Production crews with FOX 29 News will soon be coming to Phoenixville to film a piece on our town's revitalization. The station has been in contact with Dave Friday, owner of Hipster Home on Main Street, who said that FOX plans to come to Phoenixville on a Thursday, though an exact date hasn't been decided yet.
Friday also said he wasn't told by FOX where they would shoot when they stop by Phoenixville. I think its great we're getting recognized by the news media, and soon the greater Philadelphia area will see what our town is going through.
What places: neighborhoods, restaurants, shops, etc. would you like to see FOX cover, and give greater exposure to? How do you hope the rest of the Philadelphia region will view us once the segment airs?
In any case, heads up: you may soon find yourself on the ten o'clock news.

We'll probably see some of the flock of liberal Demokooks who have seemed to have settled in Phoenixville, out with their little honk signs, protesting and going apes**t because it's "Fox" 29 News. LOL.
Don't forget your tinfoil hats! Honk, honk.
Let them film the old high street bridge, the unfinished brick work, the 100 block of bridge st, all the illegals hanging around, the steel site and the drug sales at high & north sts. Maybe they can film a drug sale!!!
**Ignoring the bitterness above as usual**
Fox might want to look at some of the terrific COMMUNITY GROUPS that make up the borough...PACS, Kiwanis, Jaycees, Clinic, etc etc. These are people who volunteer and give of themselves for the good of the entire community. We should be thankful for that spirit of giving.
I don't know if this is going to be a directed tour, but I would point out what makes Phoenixville unique. Start with the Schuylkill River Heritage Center, PHX Hospital and of course the Colonial Theatre.
This is good.Hopefullly they will do more than just a piece on downtown.Since there is more to town than just bridge st.I just dont understand some , like the first post .Is it because they are jealous? What does demokooks mean? That is not very nice.Sounds like this sad little man is envious.Or is it that he ate too much cacciatire? Time to mature.hey now , does anyone know when FOX is coming here?
