Schwab resigns as PASD Super

Dr. Maria M. Schwab, who began her work as Superintendent of Schools of the Phoenixville Area School District in July, has resigned her position effective Saturday, November 8.
At a special meeting of the Board of School Directors held Thursday evening, a separation agreement between the District and Dr. Schwab was approved in a 7-2 vote, with Keith Wickstrom and Joshua Gould in dissent.
The terms of the separation agreement were not released.
In a subsequent action, the Board unanimously approved the appointment of Dr. Maryjane Richmond, currently Assistant Superintendent, as Acting Superintendent. Richmond's appointment was also effective Saturday.
Board President Mark Cassaday read out a formal statement, reporting that Schwab will end her employment as a result of her voluntary resignation. We wish Dr. Schwab well.
Cassaday indicated that the Board would return Richmond to her Assistant duties once an Interim Superintendent was appointed. The Board would then conduct an extensive search through a professional recruiter to find a permanent Superintendent who will provide the outstanding leadership that this community expects.
Reached at home late Thursday, Dr. Schwab said that she could not make any comment.

She resigned, with a "separation agreement"?

What were the terms of her contract regarding resignation?

How much is it going to cost the taxpayer for her 'resigning'.

Sounds more like a "here's a wheel barrel full of money for you if you take a hike".

Here's the answer to my previous question.

Not too bad. In office for 4 months receiving salary of $170000/year. Gets over $35,000 in cash extra for resigning plus COBRA benefits.

Reason for retiring - ah, that's part of the confidentiality agreement.

So now she can go elsewhere and perform her duties without any blemish on her record.
