Hot Seats coming to Steel City Coffeehouse
Screw Santa, Richmond VA's finest absurdists are coming to town.
The Hot Seats (formerly Special Ed & The Shortbus) recently returned from a month in Scotland and England, bringing their snazzy melding of bluegrass/old time/rag time/and bizarre Vaudevillian antics to the old world.
Now that they're back, they're planning to quest out on a new US tour, which will include a stop in Phoenixville Dec. 27 at the good ol' Steel City Coffeehouse.

The Hot Seats (formerly Special Ed & The Shortbus), Richmond VA's premiere twisted string band have recently returned from a month spent in Scotland and England, bringing their particular melding of bluegrass/old time/rag time/and bizarre Vaudevillian antics to the old world. This included a week at the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where they received a Herald Angel award, given to only a handful of the thousands of Fringe acts per year. They additionally won the grand prize from the Appalachian String Band Festival in Clifftop, WV for Neo-Traditional bands in 2008.
They are embarking on a new US tour, with dates in Phoenixville at the Steel City Coffeehouse.
