Palmer‘s schools

Hey Ed, Mayor Palmer is so upset about the school system, he‘s demanding action. What happened for the last 16 years while he was in charge? The school system failed under Mayor Palmer. He appointed the school board and he knew about the failure on Sherman Avenue, so the failure is Mayor Palmer‘s. Wake up, Trenton.

You can blame Palmer all you want, but ultimately the voters have to take responsibility.

Ed. After hearing the disturbing news about the school shooting in Newark, NJ, I wonder how Palmer and his card board bored members will react. Most times Trenton is out of touch regarding appropriate steps to take. They remain as always reactive instead of proactive. The case in point in Newark is not just Newark's problem. The problem remains the same throughout this country. However, when will the responsibility and blame be properly placed. For years, Trenton has been the last to know. The didn't know where the money was to fund the schools for more security. They didn't know about Sly Jones, They didn't know about the Sherman Avenue Scandal. They didn't know about the gangs that organize and recruit in classrooms each and everyday. One thing they know for sure now, is that, time is wasting. Our children, deserve to be safe and protected in their educational environment. It makes me physically sick to learn that four students, who excelled in every way with regard to their studies, were gunned down like hunted animals. Ed. These students were on school property. The same school that received the Abbott Funds that supposedly allowed them to purchase the video camera's that did not work at the exact moment they needed them most. This is an outrage. So much money has been thrown into urban school districts to no avail. The students aren't getting educated, or at the very least protected. As the country mourns yet another administrative fiasco with regard to our children, I hope Abbott is looking into who their awarding the money to. Questions will abound for some time. Questions such as, with all the administrative cliques, and ego boasting, all the money spent on traveling in pursuit of educational opportunities for the students. All the money saved, by not hiring additional security, along with all the money the new superintendent begged Palmer for to improve the districts security systems. This issue is much to important to ignore. Trenton school district should be equipped with every available resource possible to protect their students. Question is are they?
