T-Devils Trail 1-0 after One
Gwinnett scored a power play 5:37 into the game to lead 1-0.
The T-Devils out-shot the Gladiators 14-11 in the frame, but once again, failed to score. They actually have out-shot opponents 131-112 in first periods this year.
They were 0-for-1 with the power play.
It seems like they are looking for the perfect play out there instead of just getting pucks on net. This tends to happen to offensively-struggling teams.
Jason Smith doesn't look too bad making his second straight start in net, but the obviously isn't going to win anything if it can't put the puck in the net.
We are at the midway point of the second period here with the T-Devils still down 1-0. Shots are 17-13 in favor of Trenton.
