Police Union Contract

Negotiations continue between the city and police union. Parties have until next week to reach an agreement, or they could go to arbitration.

Guess what - this is exactly what Walker and his band of followers want, because they DON'T CARE!!! Walker never took the time to understand the police union contract, and neither did his councilpeople. There are no excuses to say "I didn't know" or that "I didn't understand." Ask questions!! As leaders of the City, there are no excuses, expecially after ONE YEAR!!!! Not to be more informed about what one is hired to do is pure neglect, expecially as a PUBLIC FIGURE.

Follow the news...Walker has NEVER though straight about what was best for the police or the City. He only cares about how he is preceived by HIS public, which is shared by the bloc.

The Coatesville Police Department is great and they did their best to keep the steets safe. Sure, there are maverick cops, but they exist everywhere. For the most part, those who opposed many of the city's cops and laws were probably on the opposite side of the law anyway.

By the way - ask Walker why his family never moved to Coatesville... is it because he thinks that it's too UNSAFE for them??

I couldn't agree more with the 1:30post. Walker does not care about this city. He only cares how he and his friends make money off of us for the next two years. Wake up intelligent people of Coatesville, if not there won't be a city in two more years!

There is absolutely no one in city hall that understands contracts and collective bargaining. They do not understand contract language or there obligation to bargain. ThE police, firefighters and ASCME unions are all suffering because walker has no clue what he is doing. In the end, the unions will all be intact and the city further in debt because walkers inability to manage anything.

Without good working relationships between all parties, nothing gets done!
