Teaching Award
Ithan Elementary School fifth-grade teacher Elinor Ball wears two crowns these days. First, she was selected for the Delaware County Excellence in Teaching Award. She, with her fellow recipients, will be honored at Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union’s Partners in Learning banquet April 29. She will be awarded $500 personally, and $500 will be donated to IES.
The Wayne resident was also nominated in the Pennsylvania Chapter of the National State Teacher of the Year Organization’s 2009 Teacher of the Year program. As such, she has been honored with the NSTOY-PA Apple Award for “commitment and excellence in the teaching profession.”
