On TV Tonight: Tuesday and other News

Lost enthusiasts get a chance to go all the way back to the beginning when Oceanic Flight 815 first crashed onto that mysterious, when the Sci-Fi Channel re-airs the popular series pilot episode beginning at 7 p.m.

Idol 4 Pictures, Images and Photos

American Idol continues its Juggernaut over at Fox at 8, and it’s the beginning of Hollyweird Week! Eddie Idol’s probably foaming at the mouth in anticipation as you read this post!
AI is followed by another all new episode of Lost creator JJ Abram’s Fringe at 9.

NBC’s Biggest Loser: Couples reunites the twosomes at 8 for another 2-hour episode.

As usual there’s lots on at 10 tonight:

Bravo’s Real Housewives of Orange County goes to Las Vegas. Let the bitchiness begin ...

TLC’s Toddlers & Tiaras has the kids entering the Miss Georgia Spirit pageant. BTW, I friggin’ love this show … it’s just too much. As soon as I catch up, you can expect to see a post devoted to this ridiculous glamfest!

Food Network’s Chopped tasks the chefs with bananas, collard greens and grits as the secret ingredients.

F/X continues to slip further into sleaze with Nip/Tuck. Tonight’s episode features Sean getting closer to his teenage Indian wonderkid/student and forming a father/son relationship. It’s also the episode that features said wonderkid Raj’s father in some kind of penile surgery – eeewww!

Ted Haggard Cured Pictures, Images and Photos

Undoubtedly the most interesting thing on TV tonight is the repeat of the new HBO Documentary The Trials of Ted Haggard at 10:15. The antigay evangelist who fell from grace after his pesky fondness for crystal meth and male escorts came to light opens up about his "sexual immorality" and the battle to stay on the straight and narrow (??).

superbowl Pictures, Images and Photos

In Other News: According to the Nielsen ratings board, an estimated 95 million people tuned into the Superbowl Sunday night. (They don’t call it the most watched event on TV for nothing.) It was a very suspenseful game and can I just say that Bruce Springsteen totally ROCKED!
And I’m actually only a mediocre fan (sorry, Eddie Idol, don’t kill me!). But seriously, most Superbowl Half Time shows are a disaster, but I totally enjoyed this one!
I wish I could say the same for most of the commercials – snore! It’s one of my fave parts of watching the Big Game. Usually, I’m more interested in the commercials than I am in the game …
I did perk up, however, when I saw Jason Statham (The Transporter himself) in that Audi commercial. Kudos Audi for getting an eye-catching action star like him!
I also liked the Pepsi commercial featuring all the man-mishaps, where afterwards they said, "I’m good." I think that totally hit the mark too.
I always look forward to any/all Budweiser commercials featuring the World Famous Clydesdales. However, I think this year’s fell flat.
I'm sure if you missed any of these, you can catch them over on youtube!

Even the movie studios fell flat with their previews. Who knew they were making a new GI Joe movie? Not me, and I really don’t care, even if it stars Dennis Quaid.

And do we really need a remake of Witch Mountain – even if Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is in it?

Of course, I did enjoy the promo for the new Star Trek movie, since the only thing I’ve seen so far was that teaser before Cloverfield. Score another one for JJ Abrams!

And wasn't it great during the pre-game festivities when the USAirways Capt. Sullivan and his Crew were escorted to the field to the cheers of everyone?
Congratulations Pittsburgh Steelers, although I would’ve liked to see the Cardinals finally take home the prize.

A dozen or more photographers gathered Monday to grab shots of Donna Martin (Tori Spelling) and Kelly Taylor (Jenny Garth), while they were filming a scene in a convertible for the new 90210 in, where else?, Beverly Hills.
The reunion of the original Beverly Hills 90210 characters was quite an attention grabber. It was also the first time the CW show lived up to the 90210 zip code by filming in Beverly Hills.

And in Why Didn’t I Think of That News: The newly born octuplets’ mom has acquired an agent! Nadya Suleman, already the mother of six, prior to her recent pregnancy, is preparing to cash-in on her new found fame, signing with the Killeen Furtney Group, who she’s hoping can get her on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
She is also reportedly in talks for an interview with Diane Sawyer for Good Morning America. Look out Jon & Kate Plus Eight – you may have some competition coming your way …
