Congratulations to columnist Mike Reagan; there should be more people in the world like him. No, I will not buy where they won’t say Merry Christmas. It is what it is. I don’t have any trouble saying Happy Hanukkah to someone who is Jewish. Say Merry Christmas to me because that’s just what it is.

How will you know if an establishment says “Merry Christmas”? Will you call up and ask them what their preferred holiday greeting is, or will you just shop there for a few hours until someone says it to you and then leave without buying anything if they never do? —Ed. Note
