Tide is Third
With a 56-38 win over Milton Hershey, the Tide placed third in the District 3 AA playoffs.
At Dallastown High School, Milton Hershey led 29-25 with six minutes left in the third quarter.
All the sudden, the Tide got hot, allowing the Spartans just two points the rest of the third quarter and going on a 19-2 run to break the game wide open. Adam Pittman drained two big treys and Mike Seibert one during the run.
After three quarters on a buzzer beating basket by Derrick Smith, the Tide led 44-31.
The run reached 25-3 into the fourth quarter.
Seibert and Pittman both scored 13. Colby Tuell added nine.
With the win, the Tide will now play District 12 champ Strawberry Mansion in the first round of the state playoffs on Saturday, at a time and site to be announced.
