So I'll throw the first question out....other then the article today in the paper were there any new developments/news that came to light in the meeting?
I had a feeling that American Water was going to raise the water fees after all the construction they have been doing, somebody has to pay for their shabby work. But they don't have to more than DOUBLE the fees, that's just another slap on the face for Coatesville and it's high costs to live here. I hope the PUC doesn't approve it.
I read in today's DLN that the Coatesville police cell phones where not working the other day. The message that that was received when you called a police cell phone was the standard message used when a phone is shut off for non payment. This isn't the first time that Coatesville phones have been shut off for non payment. It happened at least twice to the phones at city hall. Just another example of the incompetence of Rickie and his finance dept. I have had checks that I have sent to city hall held for over 30 days before being deposited. We need a change in the administration.
I have also mailed checks into the city and it has taken a month sometimes more. That is money and interest the city is not using. I thought it was just me but now I see it's others.
Last year it took the city a month to cash my check. this year i will wait until the last day before the rate goes up to pay our bill. if the city doesn't want the interest which they could surely use, i'll keep it.
