Folks, Saturday May 3rd is going to be the city wide clean up day. let's all get out and clean up around our property and our surrounding properties. Philly had a clean up day a week ago and drew out 15,000 people. If Coatesville could just get 150 people to help out it would do a lot of good! show some pride in where you live. It won't cost you much, if anything to pick up some trash for a couple of hours.
I would be all about helping clean. I am out picking up trash all the time in front of my house. Problem is not many people care in Coatesville. The more I pick up the more gets thrown out the window of the cars. It's amazing to me.
Agreed I'm right on Lincoln Highway and it's amazing how people walk right down the sidewalk and drop trash and continue to walk. The issue here is 2 fold. First a lot of people in this city rent so there is no issue of pride. If they rent it's not their problem its the landlord's or someone's elses. 2nd is parenting. Back in the day if I did that or my brothers did my parents would have made me pick it up or pulled the belt out. However today kids or dealt with kits gloves. They're not responsible for anything and if they are their parents blame someone else. I'm not saying littering is done only by kids but from what I can see around my house it's about 90 percent.

When is the City of Coatesville police "Chief" going to become a real police officer? (through act 120)
