National Library Week
A resolution declaring April 13-19 to be National Library Week was presented by County Council Vice-Chairman John J. Whelan (center) to Delaware County Library Board President Mary Pat Lynam (left) and Library Administrator David Belanger (right).
The presentation preceded the awarding of prizes to eight youngsters who were victorious in the annual "Create An Original Bookmark" contest which featured more than 6,000 entries from school children throughout the county.
Joining in the presentation at the April 8 County Council meeting were (2d row, from left) Councilman Thomas J. McGarrigle, Councilwoman Christine Fizzano Cannon, Council Chairman Linda A. Cartisano and Councilman Andy Lewis.
