Friends Life Care announces Best of Friends award winners

Plymouth Meeting, PA – Friends Life Care, a member based continuing care retirement community “without walls” is pleased to announce its 4th annual awards program to honor exceptional home health aides. These aides are the unsung heroes of the home health care industry, demonstrating their professionalism by the quality of care they provide our members.

Best of Friends Home Health Aide Awards Program will take place at noon on November 18, 2009 at The Brownstone at Sunrise of Abington, 1801 Susquehanna Avenue Abington, PA 19001. In preparation for the event, enrolled members currently receiving care and the care coordinators nominated hourly and/or live-in aides who have given exemplary care.

Awardees are nominated based on service given to members of Friends Life Care between June 30, 2008 and July 1, 2009. All aides nominated will receive Honorable Mention. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each of the two categories are invited to the luncheon as guests of Friends Life Care and will be given a cash award.

Renaissance Academy holds Faire

Renaissance Academy will hold their 10th Anniversary Renaissance Faire on Friday November 13, 2009 from 8am until 3:15pm.

Renaissance Academy’s “Shire” will be decorated from top to bottom in a Renaissance Castle theme.

Students from Kindergarten through 12th grade will participate in Renaissance Faire Activities including: Faculty Dunk Tank, Jousting, Catapult, Faculty Pie Toss, Human Chess Board, Archery, Large Maze and many others.

There will also be roaming actors and musicians performing skits and interacting with students through the day.

Students will have the opportunity to dress in Renaissance period apparel as well.

Come out and celebrate with Renaissance Academy. Great Photo and Video opportunities are available.
