City Curfew Effective Immediately, Debris Violators to Face Fines

CITY OF COATESVILLE STATE OF EMERGENCY UPDATE

Juvenile Curfew Revised:
Consistent with the State of emergency and the ongoing arson investigation the Chief of Police has revised the curfew for all persons under the age of 18. Effective Immediately: All persons under the age of 18 must be off the streets by 8 PM. This curfew will be in effect during the entire state of emergency. For this Friday and Saturday night only, citations will not be issued to juveniles between the hours of 8 PM and 10 PM who comply with police orders or have an excused reason to be on public streets.

Instant Citations for Failure to Remove Debris From Porches:
The Coatesville Police Department will soon begin issuing Citations for resident/occupants who have not complied with the emergency order to remove flammable/combustible objects/items from their front/rear porches. Residents may face fines up to $600. Additionally rental property owners may be cited by the City of Coatesville Codes Department for failure to comply with the City of Coatesville Code.

City Council & Valley Supervisors to meet Monday

City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday night in City Hall for its regularly scheduled meeting. The same night -- starting at 7 p.m. -- Valley's board of supervisors will be holding a "public information meeting" at Westwood Fire Company to discuss the state of emergency status, which officials recently declared due to the recent arson fires in the city.
