Fair Acres takes over Hooters

Several residents of Fair Acres Geriatric Center in Lima, PA enjoyed a tripto Hooters Restaurant in Concordville March 20. The Hooters staff waswelcoming and happy to serve the residents who enjoyed their outing, which also included "March Madness" basketball and a stop for ice cream on the wayhome. Planning and coordinating new and refreshing activities for over 900residents can be a difficult task for the staff of the Therapeutic ActivityServices (TAS) department at Fair Acres.

The goal is to provide theresidents with fun, engaging activities that allow them to interact witheach other, as well as with the surrounding community. The Hooters trip was planned at the request of a number of residents. The Hooters wait staff gladly posed for photos with several residents and everyone involved enjoyed the mid-day trip. After such a positive experience, the residents are looking forward to a return trip in the nearfuture.
