Ah, blogging. Here's my little corner of it all -- in West Chester, and well, from wherever on whatever. I'll let you know what I'm thinking and you can let me know what you're thinking. But remember, I can delete your posts.

No Title Found

It's been a long week. Haven't even really seen anything interesting in the news. Or had any occurrences with strangers. Anyone got anything to share? Probably not. It's almost August and the heat's taking it's toll.

Swagger

Had the good fortune to catch Levee Drivers at Fennario's last night. I was one of a fortunate 5 I think. Which was a shame. I had them play the Octoraro last month and turnout wasn't what I was looking for either. But at least I've gotten to see them a few times. If you want to hear what rock n' roll should be, you should check them out.

The sound quality isn't the best, but you can get the idea from the video or check them out here

Skunked & Global Warming

As I mentioned before, I got to see a skunk square off against a deer last week. That was cool to watch...it was far enough away that I wasn't worried about being sprayed. And it wasn't my house so I coulda left. On Wednesday, things were a little to close to home.

I was hanging out in my backyard with a friend when I started to hear some rustling in the shrubs behind me. It was dark out and I had left the light off so bugs wouldn't come around. The rustling stopped, I looked behind me and about three feet away, there it was, a skunk. I shouted skunk. My friend, being the nice person he is, jumped up, pushed his chair in front of me and ran. I flipped the chair, and followed. I did manage to grab my beer. No reason to wait thirsty. After a few minutes, I cautiously approached my yard while making a lot of noise. I guess it got scared off. I think my neighbors heard me yell skunk too because they ran inside awfully quick too. So now, I wonder if it'll come back.

But this got me thinking. I've seen more ground hogs and skunks this year. I wonder, with the price of gas, are people driving less and hitting fewer rodents with their cars...deer too I'd assume? As gas prices rise and we drive less, also considering that global warming thing people are talking about, is it saving what would have been otherwise wasted lives? Who knows, I just hope I don't see another skunk.

The Dollar Store

I love the dollar store. It has so much stuff, like bubbles. So, yes, I bought a three pack of bubbles -- pineapple, blueberry and lemon. Good stuff. And if you're thinking what I would be if this is read, I really am an adult.

A Continuance

Continuing on my last blog post of odd in Chester County. Last night I got to see a stand off between a skunk and a deer. Smartly, they both walked off so I guess it was a draw. And no one had to smell a thing.
